How can I get a clearance letter?
The Division of Driver Licenses no longer issues routine clearance letters to individuals applying for a license in another state. Jurisdictions have access to the Problem Driver Pointer System, which provides on-line access and a letter of clearance is no longer needed.
The Division continues to deal with special or unusual circumstances as they occur. Customer questions should be directed to the Customer Services Center at (850) 617-2000.
